Graduate MBA

Rosie Baker, MBA ’25

The intimate classes, industry knowledge from the professors, and flexible class schedules would be my top three reasons why someone should consider the MBA program. Not only has it been a great program to learn, but the people, from the professors to the students, have been at the heart of my MBA journey.

Graduate Program: Master of Business Administration

What is your current professional position (please include a company/organization name)? If you’re currently looking for a position, what is your goal?

I am the Communications Coordinator at the School of Management at Cal Lutheran. I manage our website, social media, communication/newsletter, events, and conferences. I also support the Dean and run a student Brand Ambassador program.

Why did you decide to pursue an MBA?

I have a BA in Communications (from Cal Lutheran ’21) and found my love for marketing too late in my undergraduate to switch majors. I wanted to pursue my MBA to learn more about business and focus on Marketing.

What made you choose Cal Lutheran’s program?

I loved my undergraduate experience at Cal Lutheran and really enjoy working here as a staff member; therefore, it felt like a natural step to continue studying and pursue my MBA at Cal Lutheran. When deciding whether to take the next step, I spoke to many of my faculty co-workers, and ultimately, their encouragement and love for learning were one of the main reasons I chose Cal Lutheran. I was also really attracted to being able to complete it within two years as a full-time student, either online, in-person or a mixture of both for my classes.

How did the program help you achieve your career goals?

So far, it’s helped me learn about many aspects of business, such as finance, expand my knowledge in marketing, and apply concepts to my work daily.

Why should someone consider Cal Lutheran’s MBA program? What words or phrases would you use to describe the program?

The intimate classes, industry knowledge from the professors, and flexible class schedules would be my top three reasons why someone should consider the MBA program. Not only has it been a great program to learn, but the people, from the professors to the students, have been at the heart of my MBA journey.
