What is your current professional position?
I am an Executive Assistant at Cal Lutheran.
Why did you decide to pursue an MBA?
I am a lifelong learner, always seeking new ways to develop my mind and professional career. One day, I was asked if I planned to pursue a master’s degree. At that point, it hadn’t crossed my mind, so my answer was no. However, a friend offered a perspective that changed my outlook: he told me I owed it to myself to try. He saw potential in me that I was either suppressing or afraid to acknowledge. His words of encouragement led me to introspect deeply, and I realized that I am indeed capable of successfully completing this program
What made you choose Cal Lutheran’s program?
I chose this program because I had a positive experience in the Bachelor’s Degree for Professionals program at Cal Lutheran. The campus is absolutely beautiful and has the most scenic views from its hiking trails. The staff and faculty truly care for the success of the students and continue to be their greatest supporters as I have seen during my time here as an employee.
How did the program help you achieve your career goals?
I believe this program will really help me become a better world traveler. During my capstone trip to Japan and South Korea, I put to use the cultural intelligence education I have learned. The MBA program will give me the chance to interact with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I’m sure these experiences will be a huge asset in my future career, no matter which company I choose to work with.

One of the greatest benefits of this program is the real-world experience that the MBA faculty brings. These professors are not only well-versed but also stay current with the latest trends and news, both domestically and globally. I’ve also had the privilege of meeting many talented and intelligent individuals who have generously offered mentorship and advice.
