Exercise Science Theology and Christian Leadership Undergraduate

I chose my major and human performance emphasis because I grew up playing multiple sports and doing many activities — I’m surprised I never injured myself. I wanted to get into sports and understand the human body to help others achieve their athletic goals.

Major: Excercise Science with an emphasis on Human Performance

Minor: Theology and Christian Leadership

Why did you choose your major?

I chose my major because I grew up playing multiple sports and doing many activities, I’m surprised I never injured myself, but I wanted to get in into sports and understand the human body to help other people to achieve their athletic goals.

Would you recommend it to a future student? Why?

Give yourself credit, even for the little things, and know that there is a God, knowing you may never love Him back, who would give anything to make you feel loved.

What are your future plans?

I would love to be a part of a sports team and work as an athletic trainer, as well as be involved in the church’s mission and in ministry.

Are there any particular experiences — in or out of the classroom — that have helped you identify that path?

In the moments that I felt so alone in school, even when I used to run for cross country, my best friend would always give me a pep talk and even pray with me, even if I wasn’t nervous or anxious, the importance of praying even when things are okay.
